Registration open for LSSA annual general meeting

Registration is now open for the Law Society of South Africa’s annual conference which will take place on Wednesday 23 March 2022. The theme of the conference is: ‘The Rule of Law and the role of legal practitioners’ in combatting corruption.’

We have invited Justice Minister Ronald Lamola, Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, as well as political economist, Moeletsi Mbeki to give an address and to answer questions from the floor. The LSSA is committed to the rule of law and access to justice and would like to hear the trio’s views on how legal practitioners can assist in combatting corruption.

The conference will be preceded by the annual general meeting (AGM) in the morning at the same venue as the conference. The AGM is open to all practitioners.

The rest of the day will be devoted to discussions on the structure of the LSSA and what the LSSA is, what it does and what attorneys would like the LSSA to do and how the LSSA can assist them.

Registration for the conference is free. Please register here. Please make sure to also let us know whether you will be attending the conference virtually or physically by ticking the relevant box on the online registration.

The SADC Lawyers Association will follow the LSSA AGM. It will be held at Birchwood Hotel and Conference from 24 – 25 March.
