Brochure templates for attorneys
Public information brochures are made available by the LSSA to attorneys for use by their firms. The brochures are in MS Word format. A space is available for the firm to include its logo and contact details at the end of the brochure.
Professional Examinations
Candidates wishing to sit for all professional examinations must register with the Legal Practice Council before the deadline.
Candidate Attorneys

LPC
The Legal Practice Council (LPC) is a national, statutory body established in terms of s 4 of the Legal Practice Act, 28 of 2014. The LPC and its Provincial Councils regulate the affairs of and exercise jurisdiction over all legal practitioners (attorneys and advocates) and candidate legal practitioners.

FIC
The FIC Act introduces a regulatory framework of measures requiring certain categories of business to take steps regarding client identification, record-keeping, reporting of information and internal compliance structures. The Act obliges all businesses to report to the FIC various suspicious and certain other transactions. The FIC uses this financial data and available data to develop financial intelligence, which it is able to make available to the competent authorities and supervisory bodies for follow-up investigations or administrative action.
POPI
The right of privacy is enshrined in the South African Constitution which expressly states that everyone has the right to privacy. PoPI is aimed at facilitating the protection of this important right.
