The LSSA brings together the Black Lawyers Association, the National Association of Democratic Lawyers and independent attorneys’ associations, in representing the attorneys’ profession in South Africa.

The Law Society of South Africa’s mission is to represent the attorneys’ profession and to safeguard the rule of law via the efficient and fair administration of justice.

International engagements

Pan African Lawyers Union Triennial meeting and conference report

The Pan African Lawyers Union’s (PALU) Triennial Conference was held from 27 to 30 June 2022 at the Mount Mera hotel in Arusha, Tanzania under the theme, ‘The Africa We Want: From Aspiration to Reality’. At the conference the LSSA President, Mabaeng Denise Lenyai, to the post of Vice President for the Southern Africa region.
