Colloquium on the Extent and Limits of the Powers of the Office of the Public Protector: Quo Vadis Public Protector?
On 4 February 2015 the LSSA, in cooperation with the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria, held a colloquium on the powers and functions of the Office of the Public Protector. The position paper was updated in May 2016 following clarity provided by the judgment of the Constitutional Court in the Economic Freedom Fighters v Speaker of the National Assembly and Others; Democratic Alliance v Speaker of the National Assembly and Others  ZACC 11, handed down on 31 March 2016.
